Recreational Program Information
All recreational divisions play for 7 weeks in the fall and 7 weeks in the spring.
Division Age Requirements for
Spring/Fall 2018 Season
Tykes (Co-Ed)
- Birth years - 2012 and 2013
U8 (Co-Ed)
- Birth years - 2010 and 2011
U10 Boys or U10 Girls
- Birth years - 2008 and 2009
U14 Boys or U14 Girls
- Birth years - 2004 through 2007
US Youth Soccer has directed all
youth soccer clubs to determine a
player's age group by birth year,
not school grade.
The Tykes division plays on Friday nights at the fields in back of Willow Field Elementary School. Kids are introduced to the game of soccer using small sided teams without goalies. Shin guards, a ball, socks and a uniform are included with the registration fee.U8 Co-Ed Program
The U8 Co-Ed division is for kids within the age bracket shown above. The U8 division plays 5 vs. 5 games on Saturdays at the fields in back of Willow Field Elementary School. The games are played without goalies. A practice is held during the week at a time and place chosen by each individual coach within the league. Socks and a uniform are included with the registration fee.
The U10 divisions are broken out separately for boys and girls and are for kids within the age bracket shown above. The U10 divisions play 6 vs. 6 or 7 vs. 7 games on Saturdays at the fields in back of Willow Field Elementary School. The U10 divisions are the first LYSL divisions that include goalies. A practice is held during the week at a time and place chosen by each individual coach within the league. Socks and a uniform are included with the registration fee.U14 Boys & Girls ProgramThe U14 divisions are broken out separately for boys and girls and are for kids within the age bracket shown above. The U14 divisions play 11 vs. 11 games on Saturdays. The U14 divisions consist of teams from Liverpool Youth Soccer League, Baldwinsville Youth Soccer Association and Cato Youth Soccer. Games are played either at the fields in back of Willow Field Elementary School or at fields in Baldwinsville. A practice is held during the week at a time and place chosen by each individual coach within the league. Socks and a uniform are included with the registration fee.
