Liverpool Youth Soccer League is dedicated to
providing an opportunity for children to enjoy the
experience of soccer. The participants are offered
education in skills, sportsmanship, fair play, and
teamwork that they will be able to use on and off
the field. The Liverpool Youth Soccer League
volunteers have committed their time and efforts
towards reaching the goal of child participation at
different levels of play in a sport that is both
challenging and fun.
TYKES PROGRAM
A non-competitive program for boys and girls in Kindergarten, designed to introduce the player to the joys of team sports in a recreational environment. Practice and small-sided games are played on Friday nights. Registration fee includes Jersey Shirt, Ball and Shin Guards.
HOUSE PROGRAM
A non-competitive program designed to achieve a challenging but not overwhelming experience for the player, to increase the player’s motivation, develop creativity and problem solving skills, and allow for their individual growth. The directors of each division make team assignments to balance the players various development levels. Team assignments are NOT made through special parent or Coach requests. Liverpool Youth Soccer is affiliated with the US Youth Soccer national organization. Rules regarding age appropriate divisions are defined by birth date rather than school grade.
LYSL is one of a few soccer clubs to offer both recreational and travel level opportunities. Players looking for a more competitive level of soccer should pursue travel teams. These teams play against other teams of the same age group from other soccer clubs. See our Travel link on the web.
